At the time of it's release, this document was the largest culmination of my undergraduate research project in b tagging at CMS. While my work and results have been shared internally within CMS for some time and in collaboration with other groups, this document was the first "stamp of approval" on behalf of the CMS collaboration upholding my results and allowing them to presented as CMS affiliated results in public conferences and publications.
