This is the last of three papers written for 8.13, which is MIT's Experimental Physics I or Junior Lab course. For this experiment we're given a pair of Cosmic Watch Desktop Muon Detectors and intended to design an experiment using the detectors. I sought out to investigate the relationship between the cross section of photon-electron scattering and the energy of the incident photons.
For any current 8.13/Physics students, my papers are not uploaded here as a reference. They exist here as a means of cataloguing my previous work, and should not be used as a perfect example of how to conduct these experiments or write a paper.
